About Us

Antonio Shoes was founded by Antonis Chatziiordanou, born in 1907 in Kalolimnos, Propontis (modern-day Imrali). At the age of 12 he moved to Constantinople with his family, where he was studied the traditional craft of shoemaking at the prestigious Great School of Genous.

At just 15 years old, Antonis fled to Thessaloniki, Greece as a refugee following the Asia Minor Catastrophe, seeking for a better future for himself and his family.

Ηe put his skills into use by founding his own small workshop. He was dedicated at crafting high-quality leather footwear. His dedication soon paid off, earning him recognition in Thessaloniki, where he began suppling several local stores. 

Τhe family business passed into the hands of his son, Athanasios, who expanded the small business's reach, extending its customer base to other cities across Greece. 

Later, the family business passed to his son Antonis, the founder's grandson. Today, the 4th generation of the family also posses a crucial role  into the business.

Antonio Shoes is now located at the Industrial Zone of Thermi, on the outskirts of Thessaloniki, Greece. Has established a strong strong network of customers throughout Greece and in Cyprus and is aspiring to expand into other European and International markets.
